The Dream  
Lightning has struck and is still crackling in the midnight sky. A strong, old structure has been explosively blown apart. The security afforded by this splendid monument to human endeavor has been reduced to ruins by the forces of natural law. Flames erupt and smoke fills the air; there has been a dramatic reversal of Fortune. Plans for the future have been aborted. In the village below The Tower's mountain base, the people question whether the old order can survive. The explosion has a liberating potential; it has cleared a site for new growth. This may appear as a "bolt from the blue," like a sudden insight that can change one’s life. But there can be, and almost inevitably will be, an unpleasant period of transition whenever there is a cataclysmic change in our lives. Emotions may erupt in anger and shock. Both physical and mental therapy may be necessary in order to achieve freedom. Lightning has struck but enlightenment may follow.

The Awakening  
Mounting pressures must be released or there will be a sudden reversal of all the work carried out so far. There has been a dramatic turn of events, and established patterns of thought will be changed. It may or may not have been inevitable, but this explosion of old, perhaps false, values can be beneficial. Placing your faith exclusively in material objects can lead to disaster because only the spirit is eternal.

The Enchantment  
To lessen the destructive nature of changes which you know are inevitable, use this enchantment. Carefully write the story of your situation around an egg from its top to its bottom. Chant the following three times as you cup the egg in both hands: "Change my life but keep me calm, change will come but I'll go on." Smash the egg and clap your hands.
