The Dream  
A lone workman in a dark, enclosed space carries a heavy, smoldering burden. Overwhelming everyday responsibilities have almost become unbearable. Although he is a physically strong man, he appears ready to collapse. A cloud of smoke hangs over him, affecting his concentration and obscuring his field of vision. There is a feeling of complete exhaustion erasing all emotion, making it impossible to exert any power or to express himself. He should be able to rest or reconsider his problems, but he may feel that he is under someone else's control and cannot do anything. Could these responsibilities and this suffering be a Karmic debt? He appears to have taken on too much and will be forced finally to concentrate on things that he barely has the strength to pursue.

The Awakening  
When you have over-committed yourself, everything becomes a strain. The resulting fatigue leaves you drained of power and unable to express your thoughts. Take the time to think through your predicament, if you are lucky enough to be able to do so. Define your real goals stripped of all extraneous distractions. In this way, tensions will be released and your limited energies put to their best use.

The Enchantment  
Prepare a warm bath, adding a few drops of pine oil. Light a green candle for healing and bathe in the candlelight. Massage your temples and breathe deeply. Imagine your tensions cleansed away. Think only of the water, the pine-scented air and the gently flickering flame. This brief but potent respite will enable you to take up your burden with renewed hope. Remember the enduring truth, "This too shall pass."
