Atlantia - Goddess of The Unexpected

ATLANTIA
GODDESS OF THE UNEXPECTED
(Sign of Aquarius)

ATLANTIA is our conception of what attributes would have been ascribed to The Goddess by the women and men of the lost continent of Atlantis.

The most powerful Goddesses and Gods of every known culture reflected, in both their personalities and their myths, the most important issues of their time and the role models deemed necessary to address those issues. We feel certain that The Goddess of Atlantis would have done the same. In fact, ATLANTIA would have represented this type of detached, dispassionate, scientific observation of the needs, benefits, and problems associated with all things in life, including religion.

The scientific advancements attributed to the Atlantean culture surpass our own. Tales are told of unlimited solar power distributed without wires to all, as well as flying and underwater vessels. It is virtually certain that, if Atlantis existed, its people were intimately familiar with the fact that all matter is made of the same energy, as "re-discovered" by Albert Einstein in his Theory of Relativity (E=mc²).

Legend says the final destruction of the land in 10,000 B.C came as a result of the struggle between the disciples of The Law of One and the disciples of Belial or Baal (a name that appears with many variations in numerous religions from ancient times). The Law of One taught that all of Creation is one, while the worshippers of Belial thought that Nature and the powerless were theirs to use and abuse.

The people of Atlantis are thought to have been extremists, and so ATLANTIA might have symbolized too great a detachment and too much tolerance for the views of others. This might have enabled the worshippers of Belial to hatch their ruthless plots to gain absolute power without, at first, the opposition of the worshippers of ATLANTIA.

It is our hope that the One worshipped in Atlantis was acknowledged as having both a female and male aspect. It is our belief that ATLANTIA was, ultimately, the completely independent female half of a partnership with an equally independent male God, possibly named Atlantis. They symbolized the advantages available to all who would put differences aside and work together, using their strengths to compensate for each other's weaknesses.
