The Dream  
Across an idealized landscape of fair skies and pastel floral hues rides the Prince of Hearts. This prince carries no weapons but approaches all with his heart in his hand. His is a romantic nature which belongs to the Age of Chivalry, when knights rode into battle or went on great quests carrying the colors of their beloved ladies with them. As in the medieval Courts of Love, his ardor may carry little sexual involvement and may only be the declaration of a sensitive and admiring, true friend. Not afraid to express himself, the Prince often plays the role of artist or musician. His passionate interest in affairs of the heart may lead some to name him a Casanova but he cannot help becoming involved with ladies as he is truly in love with love itself. He usually acts with good taste and gentleness. The heart he carries symbolizes news of the arrival of love or of a moment of intuition. He only carries messages of emotional import.

The Awakening  
Now is the time to be in contact with feelings of young love. The Prince of Hearts indicates a lot of movement, in the form of comings and goings of all kinds, of emotions and emotional people. Although usually light and charming and a welcome visitor, he can sometimes be shallow and even deceitful, if his feelings have been wounded. At his worst he can be a Don Juan type who will not hesitate to kiss and tell. Be aware that the appearance of the Prince of Hearts in a reading may mean that a person with his qualities will soon be appearing in your life.
