When knowing what kind of action to take is the crucial aspect of your question, the Temple of Fire is the place to come. Fire has the ability to transform a situation you are not satisfied with into one that gives you great joy and insight. It is here that your sense of purpose can rise, for it is the Fire-nature of living things that makes them want to go beyond where they find themselves.

Fear is the only thing that can limit your ability to make use of the element of Fire. Fire does not know the meaning of fear for everything has its burning point and Fire knows it can destroy anything that gets in its way. Like Fire, you can overcome your fears—burn them away—simply by taking action. However, some people are unable to overcome their inertia; they let their fear stop them from taking any action at all. The Temple of the Sacred Fire is the place where we can access our endless reservoir of courage. The spontaneity of Fire has no time for forethought or planning; it is the temple of action. But Fire also gives us the faith that everything will turn out all right in the end. With faith, things usually do.

Fire is the essence of creativity—the coming into being of something that has never been before in your experience. When you have a question related to creativity, or a desire you would like to see realized, it is wise to visit the Temple of Fire.

Before anything can be created, the desire to see it materialize must be manifest. Tapping into your creativity—and your ability to materialize your desires—requires you to confront honestly and fearlessly what you want. Inspiration and energy without limits are available to all who enter the Temple of the Sacred Fire with a sincere desire.

But note: the other side of creation is destruction, and Fire also rules the elimination of that which has outlived its time.

Though we usually think of Fire as producing heat and light, it also produces smoke that can conceal by not allowing the light to pass. Yet in the dual nature of this world of light and shadow, things can be reversed. Even the clearest light can obscure the truth, while the densest smoke can in some way reveal it. The ancient sages knew everything depended on the viewer and so their Mystery Schools prepared the young viewer to see with fiery eyes that had been awakened to special scientific knowledge.

A boundless energy permeates Heaven and Earth, and all things are made of this same basic energy. The use of this energy requires us to remember that it exists in the first place. Once you realize that the same fire rages, sometimes strong, sometimes weaker, in your body every minute of the day, you can use this energy to burn away your resistance to the changes you know must take place. Then you can take action to make your life a creative work of art and, conversely, make your art a work of life.
