Reading for Alanis Morissette live on TV!

What an auspicious first Blog!

We just got home from the "old in-and-out of New York City on the same day" - so named because you feel kind of old the next day - but we had a very special reason to go to NYC - to read for Alanis Morissette live on Oxygen TV, streamed over Oxygen.com, on a historic television event. Oxygen TV pre-empted ALL of their programs from 2 PM until 10 PM and followed dear Alanis (she's a delightful, real person) around with four TV cameras as she launched her new album, "So-Called Chaos."

If you didn't catch it, Oxygen.com will be putting our clip up for a week or so and we're negotiating with them for the rights to put it up right here, but you never know with a TV network and a person of Alanis' importance. Rights are a very tricky issue, but we'll do our best and let you know right here in our enchanted Blog!
We've put the clip on our home page. Just click HOME above and you can see it.

Amy and I read tarot and astrology for Alanis on the outdoor patio of The China Club on West 47th Street - a great spot - and the weather cooperated. The three of us got so into it that no one was watching the director tell us the segment was ending and you can see us gabbing into the night as they cut away to a commercial.

Speaking of commercials, we were honored to learn that Alanis - who has her Moon in Scorpio and reads tarot cards - knew our work. We can now add her to the list of people we respect who use our Enchanted Tarot like Sting and Marianne Williamson. Just to make sure that she knows ALL of our work, we gave Alanis a huge gift basket containing Amy's art book, our divination systems, affirmation cards, candles, jewelry, and one of Amy's Goddess Lakshmi scarves that she has hand silk-screened in Bali.

I used to work in the film business as a Location Manager - a location scout who is there from day one and is the last to leave, after he's paid off all the people whose homes and businesses have been damaged by the shooting crew. Consequentially, I feel right at home on film and video sets. I love the behind the scenes crew and especially the teamster drivers - but more about that and about our meeting with Alanis on future blogs.

Thanks for reading!

Monte
