Want to Know the Meaning of Life?
Everyone acts like there's some mystery about the answer to the question: What is the Meaning of Life?
The answer is easy to see: The meaning of life is to give your life meaning. Simple to say but, for many people, not so easy to do.
There are as many reasons as there are people searching for meaning in their life and that is the point, for only when you begin the search, not for the meaning of life, but the search for a way to give your life meaning does your life begin to have meaning worthy of the name.
Our just-elected 44th President, Barack Hussein Obama, is someone who has obviously worked very hard to give his life meaning and I am hopeful that he will fulfill his promise to help promote the right kind of changes to the way things work at the Federal level in such a way that conditions improve for all of us and we are able to pursue happiness and a life of quality and meaning. America has always been the dream of the world fulfilled or else why would so many people want to live here. And now we have a President who seems to be dedicated to helping America fulfill its promise to the best of its ability. If we are that lucky, we will all be even better able to search for meaning in our life.
Helping others is one of the most meaningful things a person can do. That's why Amy and I have dedicated our lives to developing our divination systems. Using them helps remind us of what is important as we encounter the usual and the unusual obstacles and challenges that life invariably throws us every day. We hope that our work gives you ability to improve your decision making skills and as you make better decisions that your self-confidence and general well being grows and grows. We know from the thousands of lovely letters we've received that those helped by our work find themselves in better condition to help others.
May we all continue on the path to give meaning to our lives and help each other to do so. The acrimony of the last eight years has got to stop right now. We must all remember that we are all in this together and we must pull together or be pulled apart. Having a new, young, dedicated, and intelligent President is a gift that we must not squander with partisan bickering. It's time for America and the world to rededicate itself to giving our lives the meaning we seek. The alternative is unacceptable. |
