About Us
Watch THE WHO be honored TOMORROW!
Today's offering is a "guest blog" from our dear friend Calixte Stamp. It is an invitation to you to watch the Kennedy Center Honor Events in Washington, DC, recorded live on December 6th and 7th, 2008, but shown on CBS television TOMORROW!, Tuesday, Dec 30th, at 9:00 PM Eastern and Pacific Time (check your local listings). Calixte and her husband, Chis Stamp, are two of our wisest and most precious friends, a joy to be with. They are both gifted therapists, with practices in New York City and the eastern end of Long Island. They know what they’re talking about and have helped many, many people to get their lives together, especially those with addictions and survivors of trauma. They are also one of the few, the proud, the truly in love couples of our time and so they are also successful couples therapists.
Here's Calixte's backstage look at going to the event:
My husband, Chris Stamp, and I were thrilled to be invited by Roger Daltrey to attend, as his guests at the Kennedy Center Honor Events in Washington, DC on December 6th and 7th, 2008. Chris discovered The Who and co-managed them from 1964 to 1975. (Note from Monte: Chris also discovered and managed and put out on his Track Records label many other notable stars of the sixties and seventies, including some guy named Jimi Hendrix!)
The surviving members of The Who, Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, are the first rock band to be honored at the KennedyCenterforty four years later. Also honored were Barbara Streisand, Morgan Freeman, and choreographer Twyla Tharpe. It was a happy reunion indeed! A love fest of sorts!
Yet..what to wear? The invitations were pouring in, State Department Dinner, Kennedy Center Honoree Luncheon, White House black tie reception, again KennedyCenterblack tie gala. What would represent best the seeker, world traveled, rock’n roll wife, turned healer therapist goddess I had become?
The answer came quickly, channeled from the heavens and from personal experience and connections with an amazing woman and her husband. Amy Zerner Goddess Couture!!!! Her fabulous iridescent leopard coat rocked on the red carpet of the Kennedy center and attracted a million compliments at the Honoree’s lunch.
The amazing black tunic coat with gold and feline touches was a hit at the State Department dinner. Last but not least, the fresh off - the magical-creative-alchemical studio of Amy and Monte, the Conscious Hippie-Goddess-High Priestess-Feminine Celebrating Caftan with purple, gold, red touches on a black background was worn with joy and sacredness at the White House and Kennedy Gala Dinner with my grand-mother’s cabochon emerald pendant and Thierry Rabotin French sexy black leather booties.
Thank you, Amy, for providing a source of Feminine sacred Goddess Couture for all of us who have explored, individuated, transformed, healed and integrated to the point of personalizing our clothing at all times1
Our Holiday “Peace on Earth” card features a photograph taken at the White House in the Caftan Dress Amy created (all her creations are unique pieces), we did Photoshop our dog Lola into the picture and are awaiting a “Goddess Pet Couture” line one day from Amy’s magic kingdom…
For those of you watching the show on CBS, we are seated on the second row orchestra center stage and you may catch Amy’s creation dancing in the light of Peace, Love and Consciousness.
May the New Year bring us all Health, Connections, Laughter, Love and Joy!
Peace & Love to All
