About Us
I liked The Secret but it left a bunch of secrets out. The biggest secret relative to that movie itself is that they forgot to tell you how to actually manifest what your heart desires. They spent the whole movie telling you that you can, but not how you can. Luckily, Amy and I have done lots of projects that are designed to help you do just that. Check out our Little Reminders: Law of Attraction and you'll have all that you need to get what you want.
But keep this other secret in mind and it is THE BIG SECRET. You can do everything right but things still may not go the way you want them to go. I HATE that secret, but it is true. I'm not sure why this is. Maybe "the Universe" wants us to experience life without what we think we want, at least for longer than we'd like? Maybe we don't really want it because it would change our life in ways we don't want it to change. Our subconscious is not stupid and perhaps it sees the consequences of our getting what we're after in ways far more thorough and reality based than our conscious mind's wishes allow us to see? Whatever the reason, sometimes you do everything right and things still don't work out the way you wanted them to. It's a bummer, but it is true. I'm now working on a book about Affirmations that work all the time and I think I'm on to something. IF you want, write me and I'll go into some more details but not too many. I want to sell books because I, like everyone else, needs money to pay my bills. I realize that this offends the people who think that all information and art should be free but, to be as honest as possible, their attitude offends me because I know how hard Amy and I work and I know that we deserve to earn a living from our work, so we're even, the copyright free people and me.
And that brings another secret to mind.
If you did everything right - chewed each bite of your organic food thirty or more times but without eating too fast, brushed your teeth three times a day, exercised for at least a half hour, cleaned out the clutter and maintained a clutter free home and work space, wrote your congress people as often as they needed direction (daily!), kept in touch with friends and family, volunteered to help those who deserve your help, and the many, many other things that we are told time and again that we should do - you would never get anything else done, especially work that you get paid for.
I don't know if this is a secret, but I can't figure out what good Twitter is, except to let everyone know when the Ice Cream truck is in the neighborhood. I've used Twitter to get that message out, but using Twitter is like urinating in a stream, your contribution is gone in an instant. It seems to me that it's turned everyone who uses it into a bunch of uncompensated 140 character poets at best and it's held out the false promise of helping businesses make more money at worst. I think it will benefit most my friend Jeff Pulver who loves Twitter and is actually holding conferences around the world explaining it to people. I would go, but I'm too busy brushing, flossing, chewing, and working.
I'm going through our new book, "The Soul Mate Path," which will be coming out in the Spring of 2010, along with the Twentieth Anniversary edition of our Enchanted Tarot, both books being published by Red Whell/Weiser/Conari Press. Also coming out in Spring 2010 will be our "Tarot Secrets" book that will help everyone with a tarot deck to actually be able to use it for practical readings quickly (what a concept!) and "Healing Crystals," Amy's first Spiritual Crafting book that is not "just" about crystals, which are more amazing than you can imagine, but it includes patterns and instructions for creating ten different medicine bags - very cool. These books are beautiful - Amy outdid herself - and they are worth far more than their $14.95 price tags. And if you are a Member of One Spirit Book Club, you will be able to get special editions of them this fall and at reduced prices. It's a great deal, by the way.
And so you can see why I have a fundamental disagreement with those who think that "information" should be free. Are those people all trust fund babies, also called "Trustafarians" here in the Hamptons? Amy and I work every day as hard as we can to put all we know into each and every one of our projects. That is why each and every one of our books, games, kits, call them what you will, can actually help you to improve your life. There is so much in every one of them. Forgive me for running on about this, but as I said, I've been reading through "The Soul Mate Path" and when you read a book after a while you see it fresh and what I see is that there is so much great info in there that if a person looking to find peace with their relationship karma reads "The Soul Mate Path," they will find what they are looking for! I'm so proud of it and, lucky for Amy and me, we can't remember all the hard work we put into our projects, similar to what mother's tell us about giving birth to their beloved children.
We use our books to share our lucky lives with everyone because that is the best way to ensure that our luck will continue to bless us (but it's not a guarantee, see The Big Secret above). And I always remember what Thomas Jefferson said about luck: "I'm a great believer in luck and I find that the harder I work the more luck I have."
