Saturn is now in Libra. So THAT'S why...
Saturn is now in the sign of Libra. So THAT's why you feel so weird! Read on:
On October 29, 2009 Saturn moved into Libra where it will stay until April 7, 2010. After a
three-month retrograde retreat back into Virgo, Saturn will again enter Libra on July 21, 2010, but this time it will take up a much more permanent
residence in Libra, where it will remain until October
5, 2012. Whenever Saturn changes signs, everybody gets thrown out of their comfort zone. Yep. That explains the news of recent days. You can say that is true every day and, to some extent, you are correct, of course. But I don't know about you, but to me it seems that I cannot count on anything that I've become involved with in the last couple of years, things and people I have been pretty much counting on are now in the same destabilized force field as everyone else. The good news is that knowing what's going on helps you to get through having to deal with the people who don't know what's going on and act like it. That is why things are so crazy of late for so many people. It is definitely a case of fasten your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy ride for a while.
Please note that if you have recently been experiencing the sudden disappearance of balance, harmony, fairness, the desire to beautify and/or the honoring of contracts and other bonds - I realize this sounds vague, but those are the areas "ruled" by Libra and the people who are going through the you-know-what right now know exactly what I'm talking about - if the rug's been pulled out from under you in those areas, keep trying to keep it together. Saturn is only testing and teaching you, which is what this planet of discipline is all about, and things of this nature that are hassling you now will slack off starting around January 13th, 2010, when Saturn starts its retrograde motion and starts to look like it's moving backwards in Libra and actually appears to go back into the sign of Virgo. It turns around on May 30th, 2010 and re-enters Libra on July 21, 2010, at which time what is happening to you now will come back into your life in some way.
I'm not saying that problems that have cropped up now regarding the above mentioned Libra-style themes won't be resolved until then. What I'm saying is that the theme and what you're doing about your situations now will come into play when Saturn retraces its steps in the early degrees of Libra, so make sure you do what you know you have to, not just what you want to do. Saturn's energy is associated with rewards for those who do the hard work and punishment for those who take shortcuts knowingly. If you do your best, you have nothing to be ashamed of and Saturn will help. If you shirk your responsibilities, Saturn will show you where you're lacking.
Saturn stays in a sign for approximately 2 1/2 years. It comes back to the place it was on the day you were born approximately every 28 years. Every seven years it is ninety degrees approximately from where it was on your day of birth and you are tested. This holds true for relationships and enterprises of all kinds, the seven year itch in marriage is one form of Saturn's "square" (90 degree angle) to where it was when your marriage, relationship, contract, business started. And so 28 and 56 and, if you're lucky, 84, all ages are approximate because of how the above mentioned retrograde motion plays out in your particular chart, these are big, defining ages in one's life. I have just had my second Saturn return and it is not an easy thing to endure, but Saturn is all about endurance. Saturn's other name is Chronos, the Greek word for time (chronometer watches, etc.) and so timing is also a big part of Saturn's lessons for us.
Now that you know all about Saturn, let's take this whole thing personal to you. So Saturn's in Libra? What does that mean to you? Plenty! Especially if you're born during the early days of Libra, Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn, and to a lessor extent, the last few days of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, and Sagittarius. If you're part of the above "cohort" of early day Cardinal Signs (Aries, Libra, Capricorn, Cancer), well, you know now that Saturn is either: LIBRA: conjuncting your Sun in the early days of Libra which makes you feel limited in your options, unable to do what you want in a very new way, very serious, heavy, possibly depressed but also possibly disciplined and ready to get down to work. Saturn on your Sun in Libra is a very important time for you. If you are feeling good now, it is because you have done the work and are now ready to be an authority or teacher of some kind, an agent of Saturn. Just remember that not everyone feels like they have found their calling in life and don't be a drag to other people. Let them be themselves if that's what they want. A good example is the best sermon, right?
ARIES: Saturn is opposing your Sun. If you're an early Aries, then events will seem to be throwing opposition after opposition at you, like a batter taking practice with a machine. If you can just keep hitting them back as best you can, you will gain a level of expertise at manifesting that will be breathtaking. But while it's happening you can hardly catch your breath. These oppositions to the way you'd like things to go can come in the form of people who openly oppose you or impersonal events and objects, so be careful and watch your step so you don't bump into anything, you are an accident prone sign anyway because of your tendency to push forward without thinking because you hate to wait. CANCER or CAPRICORN: Saturn is squaring your Sun and so your purpose in life is being tested. You may have to re-think your purpose in life. Whatever can't take the testing of this time must be let go, you can't carry dead weight into the future. Remember, in two and half years Saturn will enter Scorpio and that will mean a time of reaping the harvest of the what you are being tested about now. I can't repeat enough how much Saturn detests taking the short-cut. To Saturn, a job 99 percent done is not done at all. A pain, to be sure, but to every thing there is a season and when Saturn makes a hard angle to your Sun, you have to put your nose to the grindstone and do whatever hard work has to be done. Don't expect to have a lot of leisure time, either. I love to get feedback from people who read my blog so if you have any tales to tell or questions to ask, email me at info@theenchantedworld.com and I'll try to post answers on our Enchanted World Facebook Fan page. If you're not on Facebook, why not? It's like having your own website and its easier and it costs nothing and SO many people are using it, you'll find friends you haven't seen in ages. Don't worry, you can block the ones you don't want to communicate with again. Ah, Saturn! But remember, before the re-discovery of Uranus (the ancient Sumerians knew all the planets - read the books of Zecharia Sitchin), it was considered the "ruling" planet of Aquarius, the sign of invention, revolution, and the Future, so Saturn in Libra will mean some pretty cool new electronic gadgets that will help unite humanity, while at the same time isolating them - that's Facebook, for one, but there's going to be a few more improvements to it and completely new stuff, too, over the next two and a half years. And yes, revolutions of a Saturn nature, too. Can't be avoided, that's the mantra of Saturn.
