Diary of a Psychic Tarot Reader
"If you're so psychic, why don't you win the lottery?" Ah, the joy of being a professional psychic. But it's a fair question even if it's boring how often I've heard it, and it deserves an answer, so here it comes: I've been a psychic tarot reader for the rich and famous for a long time and if there's one thing that I know it's that I HAVE won the lottery! Almost all of the rich and famous people I've met or even read about are not as happy as you'd think they would be, given that they're rich and famous. But it has been my experience that every one of them will agree with me when I say that I'm truly rich because they're not stupid even if they're not happy. They know better than anyone that money doesn't buy true happiness - just a lot of great stuff! I'm rich because I've been waking up every day to the beautiful presence of my wife, the incredibly wise and talented artist, Amy Zerner, since 1975, the biggest win imaginable to me. We're relatively healthy - another major win! - and our bills are paid from the both of us doing work we love, work that helps other people to enjoy their lives more, a lottery win-win! If that answer doesn't answer a querente's (a great word for a person who asks a question) question to their satisfaction, then I know that I'm dealing with a pitiful example of yet another person who doesn't know that the goal of living is to find contentment - to not only have what you want but to also want what you have and not live longing for stuff to fill the empty hole where one's true center should and must be.And they're also pitiful because they obviously cannot recognize the truth when they hear it. I've realized many times that what has saved me from an untimely end to a boring life is my ability to recognize the truth when I hear it. That was a gift I was born with and I think that it is the precursor to psychic development. When you add that gift to the dubious gift of having grown up in a highly dysfunctional family you have the crucible that can produce a high grade psychic ability.
Think about it. If you grow up in a dysfunctional family you've got to wake up every day and walk gingerly into...you never know what you're walking into!!! How crazy is ..... going to be today? What's on ......'s mind? What the heck is going on here?!! Either you develop your psychic gifts or you go nuts - or your psychic ability does develop but you don't know that is what's going on and it makes you think you're going nuts. In that sad case you're either institutionalized or you turn into one of those people who ask me why if I'm psychic that I haven't won the lottery - a question that is as indicative to me of someone to keep at arm's length as the people who walk into Amy's spectacular studio with her mind-blowing fabric collage art work and Spiritual Couture fashions and all they can say to her is "How long does it take you to make one of these tapestries?" Sheeesh!!! It's enough to start a torent of New Age non-judgmental judgement flowing!!! Giving a person like that the benefit of knowing where their future is headed or helping them speak to a departed loved one is usually going to be a waste of my time, but I do it anyway if they ask. Why? Because sharing one's lottery winnings is the right thing to do in the case of being a winner of the psychic lottery. I'm not one of those lucky people who were born with their psychic gift fully developed. I became psychic the old fashioned way, literally. I earned my psychic ability by first wanting to throw off the bonds of my painful childhood by seeking knowledge of the nature of personal reality. The trick is that you don't have to find it, but you do have to seek it. As in so many things, it's when you set your intention and go on the journey that magic happens and now every day I take part in events that are considered magic by both the people I read for and by me, too. I am as excited and surprised by the accuracy of my psychic predictions and conversations with the dead as anyone and I believe that I always will be. The implications of it are enormous. I want to become the best psychic in the world - remember, it's not the goal it's the intention and the journey and what a journey it's been - and it's just starting! I want to share what I've done and what I've learned with you because it's important to know that we live in an enchanted world, all of us. It somewhat diminishes for me and those who I read for the sorrow of losing loved ones to death's grip because I get accurate messages from them indicating that they're still around and capable of seeing what we're up to. And the stories are often quite funny.
