Acting is one of the holy "sciences"
|
Acting, like all creative artistry, is both a symbolic and an actual manifestation of whatever Life Force creates our individual beings—if such a force does exist. Even if such a force doesn’t exist and we’re all descended from a bunch of cobbled-together chemicals and born of our parental animals’ frothy copulations, now destroying other living beings for our chance to feel entitled to live because we’re waiting to die, watching great art is worth the time it takes out of our miracle-filled lives by doing so because it, too, can be as miraculous as life, especially when it teaches us as it entertains and the best of it does so without our knowledge of either taking place, we are transported and transformed and never the same. This is why acting can be said to be a “holy” science. The word “holy” comes from the Druid alphabet which was based on trees and the Holly tree’s roots push deepest into the earth, therefore acting and all holy sciences dig the deepest into reality and our lives. |
